Trying to decide on a new AEG

Should I get a KWA SR10 or a CA SCAR-L (if I can locate one, they are rare)? I'm looking for good performance and reliability out of the box, as well as an aesthetically pleasing AEG. I like the looks of the SCAR a lot, but I know the KWA probably has better internals. I'd like to hear some opinions on this, as well as testimonials from users of both AEGs. I didn't really want to make a thread for this one question, but couldn't find an appropriate preexisting thread to ask this in. Thanks.

Classic Army has made leaps and bounds over the years in regards to the quality of its internals. They are not Prometheus quality but they are defiantly better than what they used to be.

If you like the look of the Scar then go with the Scar, internals can always be replaced. For less the cost of the mental nagging you will have if you bought something you didnt like the look of on the idea that it would perform better. Ive also been hearing a lot about KWA hop up issues as of late. You may wish to look into that.

Get age verified. You can find several CA SCAR-Ls on the classifieds. I can vouch for them, they are well made, easy to take down and maintain, and Modify parts fit perfectly in there if something breaks. The loading nozzle is a SR-25 one and is not super easy to find however.

I've had the SR10 since February and it has performed flawlessly. Not a single hiccup. I run it on a King Arms 1600mah 11.1v 12C lipo as well and it has a great ROF and amazing accuracy out of the box. Can't say enough about this thing. Check out some of the YouTube video reviews on it.

If you like SCARs I'd say get a VFC SCAR, some of the guys have em here in the UK, they're absolutely beautiful, heavy on the wallet, but if you ask me it's worth it.
I'm going to buy one as soon as I'm back home in Canada and verified.

I heard bad things about the hopup chamber on the VFC scar, but everything else on it is dynamite. I really like VFC's external quality

I would not suggest CA, Im from Hong Kong and Majority of the Players there hate CA, they do have good externals but wouldnt trust the internals. If your want damn good Durability and shooting well out of the box go with King Arms even though the best would be just building your gearbox up from the King arms Gearbox. throw in Prometheus and Gaurder parts and you all set

phloudernow: When was this? If it was around the early 2000's then CA has stepped up their quality since then. I can remember when people were paying $700 CAD for a CA with shit internals, now the prices have dropped in Canada and the quality of CA has gone up so it's not that bad of a buy apparently.

OP: Where are you located? If you could at least say USA or UK or something that would help out a lot. I'd personally say to get the SCAR but you have to really pick what you think looks cooler since internals can be swapped, in fact you could totally buy something like a preassembled SystemA Revolution or Energy gearbox and just drop it into your gun if the internals turn out to be shit.

CA quality tends to go up and down over the season, but who cares what the internal quality is like, you can replace the internals. It's significantly more difficult and more expensive to replace externals!
