DPMS AR 17(m4)

Hey I bought the DPMS AR 17 from walmart(i know shitty gun, blah, blah...) just to get into airsoft if I like it after a few games Ill buy a new gun. I plan on playing this sunday but my biggest issue is that I only have 1 hi-cap mag. Does anyone know what mags DO fit this gun? I have searched a lot and can't find a definitive answer anywhere. So please if you own this gun and know that a mag fits please tell me. Also if anyone knows that fastest way to get the mags Id appreciate it.

Cheers

Jon Q

By the time you have decided if you like airsoft, that pos will have broken and it will be time to buy a real aeg. Just use the one hi-cap it came with for your first game.

It is soft air, airsoft aeg mags won't fit.

nope the gun has nothing for it, extra mags or replacement parts can only be taken from its broken and trashed brethren.

use it in one game, but to be honest you will be way out preformed by even the lowest Airsoft gun.

welcome to the community however.

also fill out your profile and get age verified

I too have done what you did, and started out with one of those. I will admit they're not the best starter gun, but as long as you can get close enough to use the little accuracy it has, you should be fine. I have some of the magazines from mine, and if it's not against the rules, I'll make a classifieds ad for them.

That is, if you're 18.

Unnn no guys, you guys aren't helping very much :/

Here's some advice on my experience with a similar AEG to your POS which is the firepower F4 which is a WELL R6 which is the same almost internals minus the fixed stock and rail system and gearbox clear junk.

If your going for a AR 15 style system in the future I such buying M4 mags for your DPMS but there's a catch you must dremel the shit out of your mag well and then your mags will feed in the shitty 2 piece hop up.

I will agree, it is a shit gun. I literally broke mine over my knee two days before my GR16 arrived. BUT: It's a cheap way to start the game, and it's an easy way to learn how an airsoft rifle works. If it weren't for my A17, I probably wouldn't know how to disassemble my GR16 as easily.

As long as the guys he's playing with are willing to let him use it on their field, then it can't be all bad.

A guy here has used a clearsoft crap thing for a while, sometimes as a backup and has no problems getting a good amount of kills. It's all about how you use it and how you play. For your first game, one hicap will do. You can always just dump some more BB's into it behind a tree or something.

No worries decided to take the plunge and purchased an ICS MP5 A5. Loving it already.

Thanks for all the help though!
