AUG A1-->A3 barrel assembly
So I'm aware that there do exist conversion kits to essentially bitch slap your A1 barrel assembly thing into the A3. Complete with 3 rails (top and sides) for mounting crap.
Now the only issue is that according to airsoft GI and a few other sources I read, the entire assembly weighs about 3 pounds. Now, the AUG is already pretty hefty at 6-7 pounds. For this reason, I am not to sure about getting it. I know JG makes an AUG A3 (complete with Mosfet chip o_O) using the same 3 pound rail setup. The thing shoots really really really fast, 450+FPS, so I don't think that's too wise to grab either (I play indoors often, and they have an FPS cap). So, am I going to have to wait for someone else to make an AUG A3/conversion kit or is someone working on one now? Or am I missing something, and someone else makes a better one? The beastly thing itself D:

If it's shooting too fast swap out the spring. That shouldn't put you off buying a gun.
Action makes a bunch of different AUG rail sets. For example: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/action-ra...r-version.html http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/action-ra...ug-series.html I don't think you looked very hard |

Sorry to tell you... the real AUG A3 weights 5 pound extra from the A2 version...
Yes it is heavy. No you won't find one that is lighter, because of the way it has to be built. If you think that is too much, don't get it... you don't need all that much rails anyways. |

I actually have a Classic Army A2 with this on the end, I gotta say man, its not that bad for the weight, and its bad ass.
Also, You always need more rails man. Until you have three grenade launchers on that sucker you're doing it wrong!! |
