Decent Charger and Battery?
I'm wondering if you guys have had previous experiences with this charger and battery. I'm looking for batteries and a charger for a VFC SCAR-L.
Charger: http://www.adrenalineproshop.com/productitem_663.php Battery: (Displays butterfly but is available in numchucks) http://www.adrenalineproshop.com/productitem_586.php Thanks for your time! Gary "GBear" |

Jesus. $65 for $20 charger that is complete and utter crap.
Avoid those chargers like the plague, they're known as "The blue box of death" for a reason. 70% of the "my gun doesn't shoot" I get is because the batteries have been killed by one of those blue boxes of death. |

Ooo thanks guys. How about a more universal smart charger that also charges LiPos and LFPs? Would they be much more expensive?

Check out an "Imax B6" it can charge almost anything.

Oh, and would this be a good battery for the VFC SCAR-L? Or should I go with LiPos/LFPs. Although I have very very little experience in airsoft, I actually work with LiPos and Lithium Ions on a daily basis (I'm a battery/power co-op at RIM). But these are probably much different. Much higher discharge/charge rates, high caps, and higher nominal/max voltages.
And which batteries on airsoftparts.ca would fit in this gun? It says recommended 9.6V mini small brick or split style but I'm not sure what this means. It looks like every single battery on there are all different shapes. :/ Would this fit? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=998

Get the IMAX B6 from either ebay or hobbyking. You can get one for around 35$ shipped. Really good and inexpensive charger. If you order your charger from hobbyking, check out their Zippy/Rhino Li-Po batteries line.

I'm still not too sure which ones will fit in my gun. They also have limited NiMH batteries. I'm not sure if the ones they have will fit in my gun as well.

VFC SCAR L should take a "mini" battery if I remember correctly... There's SEVERAL LiPO batteries that'll fit and work just fine.
For an airsoft gun I'd suggest a 7.4V 20C, It'll give you the rate of fire of a 9.6V NIMH Battery. |

Interested in getting this charger as it seems like the best bang for your buck. My question is, will this package on ebay contain all of the accessories I need to charge my airsoft batteries?
http://cgi.ebay.com/iMAX-B6-Lipo-NiM...item255b4bda10 Will it have the correct adapters or will I need to solder on the adapter from my wall plug? |

I just ordered that exact one the other night. Still gonna be a while before it arrives. But I would say it should have a tamiya mini(standard airsoft) connector since it's a very popular connector in the RC world. Not likely to have a deans connector though... But it will come with one open ended connector (banana plugs on one end and bare wires at the other) so making a Deans should be easy enough..
