TM/CA Mp5 part compatability : Selector switch

Just a quick question, any idea if the selector switch between the CA and TM is compatable? Baught a TM mp5 that will need to have the switch replaced. Going to get one off of Airsoftparts.

Actually it is compatable. You just need to snip a little off the end as the CA Lower receiver is a little fatter than the TM One. meaning the CA Selector lever rod is a little longer than the TM.

yes it will fit. but like DA said it's a ttad long. I lost my TM selector and the only replacement part available was CA. It does work though.

There's more to it than this. This is correct. However, the little pin that clicks and locks the selector switch in the different positions is in a slightly different position on TM and CA. That means if you install the wrong one on the gun, there's no longer any "click" when switching the fire selector. So putting the gun in full auto, the vibration from shooting will cause the selector to move into semi. I've tried installing a CA one on a JG (TM compatible) lower, and had this issue. I've installed a TM selector on a CA, and had this problem.

So yes, you can get them to fit as DarkAngel stated, but they won't work quite properly

Okay, I'm not the type that settles for good enough. So i'll keep an eye out on a spare TM selector switch.

Thanks !

just use a small drill bit and redo the holes by hand (dont use a drill).

I can get TM selectors, they arnt difficult to get.

Hey, The selector switch has been broken off to the point where there is no point of replacing a single switch. The whole thing has to be replaced.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

Still haven't had any luck with replacing the selector switch, cant seem to find anyone thats selling them, or have them in stock. Trying to avoid ordering outside of canada for now.

VA has ICS selector switches, still haven't a clue whether those will fit either.
