Do you remember trying to speed dial that bad boy too. Trying to make it spin faster than it naturally did. And I hated dialing anyone with a 0 in their number. "DAMN, I don't want to call Charlie, he has 2 zeros in his phone number".

do they still offer dial up?

Man I remember the days of trying to download a VCD in like 100 parts and it would take forever.

I feel so old now

Haha, I was born in the 90s and clearly remember having dialup for the longest time, especially after we moved to Thailand as well. We probably switched over when I was 11-12. I hated it.

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

I remember a time when there was no web, no graphic interface and Boris Vallejo's pics were the only online porn.

I remember the days of 2600 baud. I didn't know what the hell that was back then. I wish I had the opportunity to dial into a BBS, connect to a terminal (ie. like a library intranet or w/e) and do all that old school terminal stuff but I'm a late Gen Y'er I barely had used DOS then it went to Windows (but I got pretty good at dos during that time).

Then 56k and then to DSL and something about dry copper pairs (how DSL works with the tone being sent down the line). Nowadays I know what all that means.

These days unless you're out in the sticks where there's no infrastructure available you're not going to have 56k at minimum you should have Cable or DSL.

I used to run a BBS, and I remember how exited I was when 28,8 was offered it was so fast compared to my 14,4 and 9600 modems!! How about Dithered porn images !

Vinyls are making a come back. You see them at stores brand new not but it still doesn't beat the original pressings.

You know I think the thread title should be changed again. It contains 1% answer and 99% reminiscing the good 'ole days. I hand a Tandy 2000 from Radio Shack we bought for 5 grand. kids these days have more computing power in thier watches than we did before.
