Daniel Defense Mk18 RIS II Installation

Just curious. Do you actually need the DD-2140 PROPRIETARY WRENCH or can you get by with either a standard AR wrench or something else. I am having a hard time finding someone willing to mail me one out of the states.

I am installing a Socom Gear DD MK18 RIS II on a WETTI M4 CQBR as a reference.

I'm running the 9" on mine right now...and the 9.5" on my PTW CQB.

As long as the threads on the receiver are compatible (i.e. not too big) you're good to go. My AR wrench (KA one I think) has a pin stub on one side, I hook that into one of the notches (looks like a castle nut) to tighten it on.

I'll rethread your receiver if that's the one you're putting on...or if you haven't bought it yet, I'm going to Jugglez tonight to get your steel Part#66...and can get it and just install it for you. I've got to take the front end apart 'cause I'm tweaking the hopup anyways.

The DD Socom replica has the "holes" for the gas tube blocked so guys don't try to put it onto the real rifles....I drill them out so I can put the fake gas tube back into my fake rifles.

Let me know...going to airsoftparts.ca tonight at 8:30pm

You'd better wait for some pics of mine...it's setup with the CQB outer barrel, 9" DD, 363inner and G&P KAC QD suppressor....

If you copy my rifle I'm going to pee in your buffer tube before I ship it...

How can people copy your rifle when it's an actual mk18 front end with KAC supressor? LOL

Well the reak mk18 block 2 is 9.5inch.

BTW, what gas block did you use?

LOL...I'm just kidding around. It's a nice look and solid tight.

I used this one...bit beffier than the little dainty ones. Fits perfect.

For the Mk18 RISII PTW build I cut down and ground a steel A sight into a gas block....bored, cheap and had time to do it. Fits well. Should have rust proofed it first...

Oh....if you're putting your gas tube back in and changing your gas block...make sure the tube isn't contacting the charging handle.

I have the exact same rail on my WETTI m4. I installed it without the DD tool, zero issues.
