As I've said, it is very nice. Does not scratch easily at all. Very robust, just look at it. Built very well.

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

Seriously, VFC is known for their quality, realism and price.

I've got the new VFC SCAR-H and...it kicks butt!
-It comes in a really nice, formed black case with a high-cap (manual says 300 but it's closer to 400) and silencer!
-It shoots a fairly consistent 330fps average and shoots about 12 BPS. (tested on Madbull v2.1 chrono)
-Overall the gun is super solid. It has a metal upper and plastic (not-clear) lower but they feel super tight and well built. No squeaks or creaks or crickets inside.
-GREAT quality on the gearbox, very snappy and responsive unlike some of my other AEGs where the trigger lag is a game breaker (ie looser!).
-The silencer actually works and has fitted foam on the inside however, the way the silencer mounts causes some problems: It has a very wide thread so it doesn't seat completely straight and therefore BBs have hit the inside of the silencer.
-A negative issue with the way the battery goes in: Despite the fact that the battery area is actually fitted so it won't just flop around like in the butts of some guns, one thing that ticked me off is that the wiring close to the fuse broke so I had to re-solder it. This is more than likely my fault for forcing it out, however, they could have found a better way to mount the wiring inside the butt of the gun. BUT for those who don't know, there is no wiring that goes from the butt to the gun itself...there are contacts in the hinges that pass the electricity through! (I've been told this has been an issue on the CA version but not this one)

Played with it out at the MAA game this weekend and it performed flawlessly.

Here's a quick shot of it. I added the Eotech and the front grip, it does not come with those.
