Converting an SRC g36
I'm wondering if it's possible to convert an SRC g36L into HKSL8???

yes...but you will spend more then buying the actual gun...so why bother?

The most I'll say is *maybe*. The STAR and Poly SL-8/9 bodies were designed to fit a Tokyo Marui G36. The STAR one doesn't even fit on my CA G36 100% perfect (well enough to function, but not perfect).
However, the SL8 conversion kit will cost you at least $500 to have someone import it for you. I got mine for $250 from the ASC Classifieds a while back, but honestly if you want an SL8 right now it would probably be cheaper just to buy and SL8.

SL8/9's come up for sale on the classifieds every now and then. You can always post a wanted add.
