Bah lead solder!

Even though it makes a negligible difference for airsoft.. Silver solder on every connection point!

It's OK, Frank's a machinist... His lungs contain some fancy new alloy that has yet to be discovered.

First off, I didnt' read every post, but..
I also bought most of the components for a homemade basic mosfet from Digikey, some components you had to purchase a minimum of 5, and a few basic parts I purchased from the Source.
I think the plans I used were already posted in this thread, and in the end, the mosfet works, but I had no performance increase at all, and just the piece of mind that I'm not going to burnout my trigger.

It does not, it has adjustable low voltage detection that gets you alot of power out of the lipo WITHOUT fully draining it, within a safety margin that normally wouldn't allow a single cell to drop under 3.0v. However it does not monitor individual cell voltage.

But IMO you wouldn't need a PCB for older or newer TM MKIII models

naw I wouldnt add one for a tm gun. just other guns. I have a mosfet. and that new pico alarm thats out for 17.50 seems the best option.

I could build it for cheaper but he's done the leg work and I'm okay with paying 17.50 for 10 dollars parts. The Mosfets have way to high of a mark up for my likes.

Thats an even cheaper option and doesnt seem any different. I may snag a couple to check them out. Beats out 17.50 for the wolf dragon version

Built 2 of those recently... I don't think they're too expensive (under $20)

there is not a lot o tem
however i am thinking of going with the pcb 4.x and adding in the trigger cut off to my mosfet, as well a a pico buzzer, so it will work like the lite, with the buzzer and cut off

I think I have a found a ncie little solid state resettable fuse for a few bucks built.

As far as I can see. I have no interest or need for an active breaking mosfet.

Seems like it may help a bit but adds a slight additional bit of ware to your motor.

Still looking that one over.

Anyway. I have the parts for 5 basic mosfets. will see how they go.

My biggest concern is my trigger contacts for my p90, and aarons rifles as he is wanting to upgrade to lipos
a cheap little alarm would be nice. still toying with ideas.

active braking is especially useful with higher power batteries. I had steve's 9.6v 3600mah NiMH in my 249 for a game, you could hear it take 4 rounds to wind up to full ROF and when I let go of the trigger it ran away for 5 rounds before it stopped shooting!
I'd say above 1100rpm, active braking is REALLY helpful in reducing piston wear.
Soft start is a really nice feature too, if you do a factory reset on your TM and listen carefully to your first 5 shots, you can actually hear the soft start and active braking kick in

yeah its hit or miss. for my own mosfet it's looking like a cheap add in. Even build my own sw ab longs is not to hard or expensive and will give me AB with a 20amp auto reset fuse. That added to the wolf dragon pcb 4.x with the trigger mod and a pico buzzer could really give someone a nice little lipo control for a pretty low cost.

still trying to figure out parts etc befor eI know if the DIY direction is really worth it. So far I'm going to have to say yes.
