Src g36k, 416.

Hey guys. I've been poking around looking at the new SRCs, and the G36K and the 416 really caught my eye. In comparison with G&G , these new gen.III gearboxes sound like the good stuff. But between the two, I'm stuck on making a decision, both are nicely priced, but they look like their performance is relatively the same.

- Barrels are almost similar length
- same gearbox
- same barrel diameter
- both preupgaded to have a rating of 400fps out of the box.
- both are lipo ready
- a nice smoked lower receiver.

What would your choice be based on all this? Including looks

- Rowan

I like the G36K personally, however its an acquired taste. G36 positives are that its a unique rifle, is ambidextrous and looks awesome. One thing i really dont like about the G36 is the magazines. They are too big and will not fit in most vests (luckily i got a Flecktarn vest, which makes it easier). As for the HK416, almost everyone has a armalite or a variation so it will be easier for you to find a lot of parts. Also the HK416 uses STANAG mags which are much thinner and can fit easily in many vests. Plus the HK416 has the magazine release button, which makes magazine changes a bit faster.

if you want to replace the 007 clear bodies, you can do it much easier on the 416 (replacing the lower that is) than on the G36. Its virtually impossible to find replacement bodies for that gun.

with the 416, you can swap the lower for any lower you want, and since the upper is already metal, you can leave that as is.

And also, aren't upgrades for any 416 model the same as M4 model parts except for hand guards/hand things and maybe barrels?

If there not the same post how and what to use to upgrade it on this thread!
