Contaning BB muzzle velocity
I tried to run a search on the forum but came up empty for an answer for the next question:
I am set on buying an ICS Galil AR which is advertised by Mach1 to have muzzle velocity of 395, which is as I heard is awesome for an outdoor game. The problem is I want to play a few CQBs first. I was told that there is some kind attachment that can be put on the end muzzle (like the silencer) to slow the BBs, which is an alternative to installing weaker/shorter spring. Could anyone point me in the right direction where I could find it or at least give me the exact (English) name of it so I could google it? Thank you in advance ... |

a couple of different things you can do.
most find that the TM velocity reducers don't work too well and it would only work in semi auto mode. I'm a little iffy on it's consistency to maintain the lower fps. I for one, wouldn't allow people to play running the velocity reducer. I know some people run one gun indoors and out and only change their front end to a shorter one which nets them a lower fps safe for indoors. the change in inner barrel length seems to work for some setups. ultimately, you can swap out to a spring that puts you in the indoor range and just run it outside. |

its called a velocity reducer
but its very ineffective when you're firng in full auto i'd suggest getting a weaker spring and pay a gundoc to install it for you.

There isn't a single CQB place in Toronto that will allow a velocity reducer (despite some of those places being semi only).
Swap the spring. Stick a M90 or M100 (Modify make great springs labeled S90, S100) in there to be sure to get under 350 (some M100's in some guns will still be over). The Galil's aren't too bad to work on. PM me if you need a hand. I should be able to make arrangements with Shinobii to retain whatever warranty he may be offering. |

Madbull does make a reducer barrel, supposed to drop your FPS 30-100 (depending on your gun)
Madbull Crawler Barrel I've never used one but I'm intrigued by the idea, I wonder if there's any jamming issues. |

ICS Has a split gearbox so you can get a second upper gearbox and have one for indoor and one for outdoor.
