hmm ! yep, I need to put it quite close. It's really don't work well, maybe because it's the low chinese replica ACOG.

I can't put an ACOG that far back on mine, I hit my glasses on it. I have mine at the very front so the base of the ACOG is flush with the front of the rail adapter. I have a cheap Huang ACOG right now (cheap as in quality, not price, the thing is $180 or something and I don't know why) but I am snagging a G&P ACOG on my next Redwolf order.
A lot of people say its nice with an Elcan but I don't have one handy to check (sold mine before I got the L85.) |

I will check Elcan for ya since I will get one soon. Sometime, I feel that Iron sight on the handle is useful that those Chinese Acog, I really can't set it to zero, especially the left and right function really doesn't work at all.

My clone Aimpoint would not adjust either. I removed the adjustment screws completely, and stuffed some wadded-up paper towel in the hole and put the screw back in. Then it would adjust.
The screw wasn't actually pushing on the "guts" to maneouver them.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=49408 Pretty much the only way you're going to get an L85 in Canada is to through the ASC classifieds, which you have to be AV'd to access.
