PSG 1 Barrel
Quick one,
Does a TM PSG-1 inner barrel fit in other standard AEG (AK, M16, AUG, etc)? Thanks

Do you mean the lengh? If so, probably not, the stock inner for the PSG is quite long.
Standard PSG inner = 590mm M16 (being the longest of your 3 options there) is 509mm

Think he means if the way it fits into the hopup is similar to the normal aeg inner barrels, obviously it's longer

It is hop up compatible? I understand that it is not?
Else, what is the closest M16 barrel length in the 580 mm length made by Promotheus (6.03 mm TB)? I see one at 550 mm length on Red Wolf,

Thats why I asked. Why not let him answer the question?
If that is the case, then YES. To my knowladge, all AEG inners are the same. My PSG uses the same Hopup as my G3...

Haha, dont worry.
The barrel from a PSG is the SAME as any other AEG barrel. It will fit. The only parts of the PSG that cannot be used in any other AEG is the main spring, and its gears.

I wasn't sure about hopup compatibility, I'm pretty sure that's what he meant about fitting, he mentioned m16, ak's etc all have different lengths, so obviuosly he wasn't asking about the length

add the JP Rifles 12" hand guard and you can easily go to 590mm. I'm currently using the 2nd shortest barrel extension on my M4 with a 509mm inner. It barely shows just inside the flash hider. the psg is only 8.1 cm's longer which would still be significantly shorter than the longest extension that comes with it.

I have an AUG that uses a PSG1 length inner barrel with the HBAR front end. With the standard front end it can only use the standard M16 length barrel. The kind of hopup unit that it uses though is a vary rare PDI hopup. But I don't think that makes a difference.

Yes. The only inner barrel that is different (has different slots for the hopup) is M14.

As i understand it the psg1 inner has a flat spot after the notch taken out where it slides in the hopup..My gun doc had to cut a piece from another inner to fill that flat spot in to assure a propper seal. The shape of the psg inner is different from the average aeg barrel. With the madbull one anyways..

There is no difference as you described between my PSG inner and any of my AEGs inners.

PSG-1 barrel are just longer AEG barrels.
I had a PSG-1 with madbull barrel. I am repairing an AUG Phantom with a Prometheus PSG-1 barrel. I installed a PSG-1 barrel in my L96 using the PDI chamber for AEG barrels. |

I know why i see a flat spot. There are two types of psg1 inners... the one actually for the psg and one that is just the length of the psg. I just recieved the normal one today..checked the labels and came to this conclusion.
