High Speed or High Torque?
I'm looking at getting modify smooth modular gears, what is the difference between the two? I'll be putting them into a CA m15A4, compatible right? They'd be for around 390-400 fps with a 11.1 V Lipo. Thanks.

What spring are you running? and are you using the original motor? If you have an aftermarket motor plus that 11.1v lipo, you might be ok using normal torque gears.

I have a stock CA motor and will be using a Modify spring(SP110).

High speed is for high speed applications at low FPS. High torque is for high torque applications at high FPS.

Stick with the stock CA motor get normal torque or high torque gears Get a better motor plus highspeed gears, and you could get a higher ROF. I recommend option 1 if you don't want to spend much money, option 2 *could* get pricey if you want everything to work smoothly. You will probably be able to get away with buying a new motor and piston + the highspeed gears and be fine. Heck you if you want you can just by the motor and gears and use it and see if your piston blows, theres a good change your piston will be fine also.

If you're using a 11.1V battery, you might want to use high torque gears, high torque gears will slow the rate of fire a little but reduce the strain on the motor caused by the gear, but your battery will compensate for that.
