Quiet AUG

Old topic back up,

I want to build a very quiet 400 fps AUG A3,

Starting from a JG AUG,

I would install the following:

Prometheus 6.03 EG Barrel for M16A1 / A2 / VN / AUG ( 509mm )
Systema All Helical Gear Full Set ( Super Torque Up ) for Gearbox Ver. 2/3
Prometheus POM Piston Head NEO
Prometheus Hop Up sleeve purple
Prometheus Nozzle
Modify S100 spring
Madbull Gemtech G5 Toy Silencer and Aluminum Tube

Would these parts get me the quietest AUG out there? I would insolate the space between the gearbox and the body (thinking cork base material).

Are they quieter motor out there? Versus the stock JG?

Should I change the spring guide for a bearing one? Same for bushing, would ball bearing bushing decrease sound signature?

Gear wise, would using the super torque up reduce noise compare to the regular or high speed helical gear set?

Would a trigger master unit reduce sound level (by reducing engine speed)?

The whole set up would be running on LIPO (7.4 or 11.1, don t know yet)

I would appreciate your recommendations, again the target is the lowest noise possible for a 400 fps AEG (I believe the AUG offer the most room for sound insolation (with the P90, but that one would not fit right outdoor gun...).

Thanks

Super torque is too much torque for 400 FPS, I'd only go double or triple at the very most.

Make sure your shimming is PERFECT to reduce gear noise... Lower FPS (for the most part) = lower noise as well.

Get a Marui EG700, they're one of the quietest motors.

Make sure that silencer is filled with a porous foam.

Thank for your comments

What are double or triple versus super torque? Regular torque would be sufficient?

I believe the stock gemtech has foam?

It changes the gearing ratio..

I'm not quite sure on the actual ratio numbers...

But I'd look up what the gears are reccomended for.

Super torque if I remember right would be "quadruple torque" but they named it something else to make it sound more "awesome"

For 400 FPS regular torque would be sufficient, if you want higher rate of fire and a snappier trigger response I'd recommend double torque.

maybe consider a sorbo piston+cylinder head?

Why people need aegs shooting 400 fps? Its not a goal... but a limit...

Indeed, it more of a reference, the idear is that the AUG would be an oudoor dedicated AEG

I somehow got my TM aug shootin quiet as a mouse with just a couple upgrades and a good reshim job. As far as I can remember, what I put into it was a systema cylinder kit (cylinder head, piston head and cylinder) with a TM piston (can't entirely remember the parts as it was a while ago). I'll open it up again and list off what was put in it, but it is shootin only like 350 FPS though. But I'll get back to you on which parts I used exactly.
