Is this sound normal?!?!

Hello all!

After my g&g mp5's spur gear lost a tooth last month, i ordered a full modify gearset, proceeded to do my first ever cleanning-shimming and closed the whole thing.

It works. It shoots. But omg i don't remember my gun making such a noise ever before...

Here is the link to a video I recorded. You can hear the very distinct noise comming out. VIDEO

What do you guys think? Did I go wrong somewhere in the shimming, making some gears touch? It's pretty annoying...

Have you set the motor height?

Yeah i did, i can't seem to get it right... Do you have any tips for adjusting it? I mean... It's all happening inside, it's pretty hard to judge where the motor touches the bevel gear...

Screw the motor all the way down then back it off 2 whole revolutions and go from there other than that have a look to see if the motor gear is not spinning freely on the Shaft.

Just a shot in the dark but does the motor gear look like it will mesh correctly with the gear i know ive seen motor with gears on them that are on a weird angle( guessing its for high speed or high torque not sure)?

That sounds pretty bad. If the spacing between the gears is set right, then try raising them all (i.e. move them away from the left mechbox shell) while maintaining their relative shimming. (i.e. stick the same size shim under each gear and remove that thickness from the top of each gear).

Readjust motor height.

Mind you...I've only tried loose modify gears a couple of times and 4/5 mechboxes always sounded horrible.

Last time I got a noise like that, I completely obliderated my motor's pinion gear. I'd check that, make sure you haven't ruined the teeth on it >_>
