ICS MP5 SD5 Bucking

Hello-
I have an ICS MP5 SD5 and I am experiencing double feeding issues in the semi automatic mode. I tried cleaning the feeding stem with in the mag well as well as the feeding stem in the magazine itself. The problem still persists. I found another thread indicating the double feeding was due to a faulty hop up bucking. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the ICS mp5?

I have been looking for a new bucking, but the only replacement bucking I could find was the stock ICS brand bucking that came in the gun. I don’t want to buy this same bucking if it is the cause of the double feeding issue. Does anyone know of a GOOD brand of bucking that is compatible with the ICS MP5 SD5 that will create a good seal and eliminate the feeding issue? Thank you!

Have you tried adjusting your hop-up? I do not own an ICS MP5 SD5, but I find that some people get double-feed issues if their hop-up isn't high enough. Try adjusting your hop-up so that you have a good shot without a massive upward arc (Note that you should try for a slight arc, since with distance shots a nice arc is good). Personally speaking, I double-fed a lot when I had my hop-up completely turned down, since nothing was stopping an extra BB from squeezing in, and this was on semi auto as well.

Try that, see if you get any better results. If you've tried this already and are still double-feeding, I can't help you any further, hopefully it's just a hop-up adjustment issue.

Yea, I gave that a try as well. I messed around with the hop up when I noticed the problem and it doesn't matter where the hop up is adjusted, it still double feeds. I bought the gun used, which was probably a mistake to buy a used gun, but it has had some upgrades and I just couldn't pass on the price. If it is the bucking that is causing the problem, it is an easy fix. I just need to know a good replacement bucking. Other then the double feeding, the gun seems pretty solid....so far.

Whole lot of people swear by the Guarder Clear Bucking Set. If you're Amos, swear by the firefly bucking set.

Both of those work with the ICS MP5 SD5?
