Fuzy sight: Huang 551 and 4x mag
Greets,
I just got an EOTech 4x magnifier to go with a 551 sight on the P90. Right now there's an annoying issue where the dot of the sight is insanely fuzzy, which kind of defeats the purpose of the magnifier. I tried to clean all lenses, which help a bit, but it's still a lot of fuzz. Anyone else have this issue? Is there something I'm missing like distance (which I played with, doesn't affect much)? Halp! |

Have you tried the mag with another sight, to try to eliminate which one is the guilty party?
I have a clone 3x that I use with a real 551 and 552, and it is quite decent. Could be the sight that's the problem.

Tried it with an Aimpoint I have lying around, kind of better.
I'm thinking it's an alignement issue since the hood seems to interfere with my ability to focus on... anything? |

What mount are you using?
Care to show us a pic of how you positioned it, and alligned them up? |

You can look through the magnifier alone and see if it is fuzzy. If it is, then you may return to me, I can either exchange it or refund you.
If it is not, then try it with a different red-dot. I noticed some people does have issue when they aim behide magnifier/red-dot combination. Last edited by huang; July 3rd, 2009 at 10:01.. |

The magnifier itself doesn't seem to be the problem in itself since I have a clear sight picture out of it by itself, could the issue be that you need a 553 or slightly raised 551 to properly fit?
Pics when I get home tonight... |
