G&G GC1-46 HK416 CQB, what I should know ?

I'm new in the airsoft world and just buy my first AEG.

I ordered a CM16 raider-l but this one is finaly BO until an unknown date. So the retailler give me a really great deal on a GC1-46, I can't really refuse it.

So some ever own this aeg or know some who ?

Only some review done by retailler, no long terme review find on google. The specs are also confusing on internet, no site give me the same info than another.

Thank you in advance

look up any comparable priced G&G m4 copy and paste. the only difference will be the 416 externals

Just go for a VFC and never look back. Save's you the trouble later down the road.

Unless you're just testing the waters for airsoft.

Buy once, cry once.

Vega Force Company;

Lots of retailers have them here in Canada, check it out. Tons of reviews, and they have the best externals, and decent internals. They'll run you a lot, but you get what you pay for.

Another one of those "I bought this gun, how is it?" threads... Should do your research before buying.

Short term: Pretty decent performance out of the box.
Long term: The front of your gearbox is going to blow off. Whether that happens in two months or two years, nobody knows.

I'm old enough for assume my choice. I've 15 years of experience on mecanic and car troubleshooting so I'm not affraid about maintenance this little thing. I know this is not bulletproof and need spécial care

About the front of the gearbox, I saw in a review than G&G now braced the front of the gearbox for avoiding it to blow off.

Well, thats fine and dandy but these things are a little more delicate than a car and I find them more frustrating to work on. But you can work on them so you should be alright. Now moving forward be aware of what the maintenance of an AEG is. Shimming, regreasing etc. Then remember to stow up some extra dough incase you need to replace the gearbox. Airsoft Parts or AirsoftStoreCanada has excellent gearboxes for sale.

A really good 'drop in'replacement gearbox will run you abvout 150+ but these are Lonex boxes and really are top notch,.

They added a brace yes, but it is so loose fitting it does not prevent breakage. It makes it so that when it blows off, the part stays in the gun.

If you aren't afraid of doing your own gun work, I'd recommend immediately disabling the pneumatic blowback, and adding a sorbo pad. That way you aren't using a 500 FPS spring to get 400 FPS, and you have some kind of shock dampening.
