BB Brand and weights
Had this in mind 2 years ago but I keep forgeting.
Analytic Balance Result for Excel 0.2g, MetalTech 0.2g and KSC 0.25g Measurements are +-0.0001g Randomly picked 5 bbs from each bag and brought it to my chem lab. Each BB is weighed twice, one is before I pick them up with my fingers and one is after. Both measurements are the same. The oil from my skin did not have a noticable affect on their weight. However it may affect the friction on the hopup (still need to devise a test for that). I had a long list of diameters somewhere. I'll post those up when I find them, but they may be out of date by now since BB molds will wear and everything depend on QC at the time. Sept2006 Raw data only Excel 0.2g (new mold versions) 0.1906g 0.1940g 0.1935g 0.1941g 0.1943g Mean of 0.1933g Below the stated weight, Max Range difference of 0.0037g MetalTech 0.2g (white) 0.2068g 0.2079g 0.2089g 0.2033g The fifth was contaminated when it rolled into some NaCO3 powder Mean of 0.2067g Above stated weight, Max Range difference of 0.0056g KSC 0.25g 0.2418g 0.2454g 0.2486g 0.2459g 0.2442g Mean of 0.24518 below stated weight, Max Range difference of 0.0068g Later addons are Straight/Digicon 0.36g non graphite, 0.42g Graphite Guarder 0.28g Systema 0.20g Maruzen 0.30g ... anything else I can get my hands on. Systema 0.2g max reading 5.91 +- 0.01mm min reading 5.86 +- 0.01mm Average diameter 5.88mm +- 0.01mm
