KWC 24/7 slide removal

Hi, I just bought brand new and need to adjust hop up but cannot get the slide removed. I know there's countless threads on other pistols but I'm not quite sure on if internals are the same as the KWC. It has almost no usage so its not the cause.

Following instruction and this video, the slide will move forward about 1cm and thats it. It feels solid with no chance of movement and I don't want to risk any kind of damage. Any help would be great, otherwise I'll have to return it. Thanks

Tried and still solid. Not sure if there's maybe a specific step procedure and if you don't quite get it perfect it doesn't release. Tried a whole bunch of ways.

Got your back up slide

Make sure you cock it, lock it on the slide catch, pull the takedown firmly on both sides all the way down and hold it down, release the slide and in a forward sweeping motion with your other hand push it forwards and whisper "gtf off b!?ch"

VFC Glocks can be picky this way too, show it who's boss, all else fails, swear at it profusely and give it the finger, calm yourself and try again

Hope it works

If it's new you'll have lots of fun pushing down on the lever. The lever is likely still caught on the slide.

You're going to need to rack the slide back and the pull down as hard as you can and just let the slide spring forward.

Seems like this is intentional by design. Dont smack it with a hammer just let the slide return to battery and if it jumps over the slide release lever you're golden. Otherwise you just have to pull harder.

Tried a bunch of times. Question, so is this typical of a new gun or this type of gun? Just wondering if maybe defective or just very tight/problematic design. I will keep trying this method. Hopefully won't damage in some way.
