Ww2 airsoft players and reenactors - countoff

Hey guys,

I have just started WW2 themed airsoft (started 6 months ago) and I was wondering how many ASC members field world war II impression. Then, I thought having a count off would be great (with region, asc name tag - division, nationality and rank reenacted as well as airsoft guns fielded).

For instance, I am
BoGrain aka Scott
I am from Quebec city
I field a SS-scharfûhrer late war impression of the Das Reich division with an agm mp40 (well it is actually the cybergun one with the markings )

This might provide some use to you if you don't know about it already:

If you look under the Units tab, you will see a fair few of us there.

Hi Bograin.

I've pulled together the following:

1. Late war "Langemarck" SS NCO, with smock, field made camo tunic, and "pea-dot" trousers.

2. FJ NCO, with the M35 "Rock" tunic, splinter smock and Luftwaffe reed-green summer issue trousers.

3. Gebirgsjager jager, with M41 tunic, M42 wind-proof smock and both reed-green and field-grey M42 keilhosen.

I've collected most of these by following the e-bay auctions at Spearhead, Hikishop and Soldat Militaria, with a few items ordered from Ant-Z Military (who now supplies Der Stadhandler).

I like the look of the gear, and it is suprisingly effective in the field.

Cheers,

GG

Ya I have already seen it except the website is only for ontario players as far as I am concerned. I was looking for a canadian countoff (well ASC members at least). Still worth looking if I happen to have a long enough holiday to go to a WW2 airsoft themed events in Ontario. Unfortunately for us in Quebec, WW2 airsoft is still new (we are only 2 active players with correct WW2 impression; me and another guy named Cabana which introduced me to the whole WW2 airsoft genre). I was wondering how the WW2 style airsoft was evolving around canada.

BoGrain, you are right that OAWWIIR is mostly for Ontario Players but the forum is for anyone that would like to join a WWII community and discuss everything from uniforms to weapons. So feel free to sign up on the forum... that goes for anyone that is interested in WWII. The day in history thread is a great read.

Anyway, back on track...

Call sign Leecas and the following is my WWII info...

Cpt. Lee Cassar (Re-enactor)
Easy Company 2/506th
101st Airborne

I field either a Thompson or a M14 that I converted to look like a M1 Garand. My side arm is the 1911A1.

Our unit will be fielding the 1919A4 30 Cal machine gun that I built from scratch. More toys to come in the near future.

Our unit and and a few other units in our group not only do airsoft but we also do WWII Living history events as well.

Ok, here it goes in no particular order although I have probably forgotten something.

Mike aka shiftsup

101st AB Normandy and Market Garden (M42's, paratrooper boot, web gear, helmet, M43's, two buckle boots, etc.)
5th Rangers Normandy (M41, HBT's, leggings, etc)
FSSF Italy (Mountain pants, mountain boots, paratrooper boots, tanker jacket, parka (soon hoe it fits), V42 knife, etc)
FJ Normandy (fj boots, fj helmet, splinter smock, summer green fj trousers, grey tunic, para y straps, canteen, gas mas bag, etc, needs a gravity knife)
USMC - Tarawa (p41 jacket w/ p42 trousers, boondockers, leggings, web gear, etc)
Starting a post-Normandy OSS / SOE impression.

Thompson M1A1, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, BAR, TW Browning HP, MP40, STG44, Sten MK2 which is soon to be a Sten MK2S, sometimes use my M14.
