The 6-pos stock looks a bit odd, but sweet rifle! Need to get the A3 etched in sometime on your receiver too.

Looking forward to finishing my C8SFW. Will post pics once the build is finally done.

Where are people getting the Bodies for these? I see 'em all the time, but I have no idea where they're coming from. I know Guarder makes a good one, but they're rare as all hell, no?

I'll bump this up with a few C8 questions. The Dragonred L199A1 barrel is two piece, so whats the threading between the two barrel sections? Clockwise or counterclockwise? Good source of the OD rubber buttpad for the four position stock? Anyone ever seen an OD m16a2 style pistol grip for a PTW?

Thanks!

Issued buttpad isn't OD, just black. The threading on the barrel is CCW, and you're probably better off just spraypainting the grip krylon OD, I'm pretty sure that's what the CF armourers do anyways lol.

The issued pad is OD, although after use they loose they're color and can end up looking black. Trust me, I just got a box of new ones for some of the weapons at my unit. As for the grips, they either come black, or on the C8A2's they're green, just like the C7A2. If anyone's painting it, it's probably the user.

Oh wow lol, I've never seen a buttpad in its original green then. :P

My mistake about the grips, I thought I read somewhere that the C7A2 furniture was just black parts done over with krylon, but maybe that was just when they were trialled the upgrade?

Possibly, or whoever said that they were painted was off their trolly

But the new furniture is green and nothing but. I have seen some stocks though that were starting to look brown, but rest assured, they aren't painted.

Thanks for the heads up guys. So where can one get the OD buttpad? I haven't had any luck finding a retailer that'll ship one to Canada...

So it's CCW threading on both threaded parts of that barrel? Gotta know what die to order

And no joy yet on an OD m16a2 pistol grip for a PTW. Might have to paint that one...
