Thanks for the link Fox. Yeah I will talk to Duy over at Airsoft Parts. He seemed a little skeptical that it didn't fit citing that "it's a computer cut part. It has to fit". Anyway, I doubt it will be a problem. Just wanted to check the other part out and have an option (just in case).
Ha Ha. I just checked out the Link, Fox, and it's the exact same part. It's also made by TSC. Same code and everything. So you did get the second one to fit then? I will be sure and tell Duy that they are not all the same. That computers make mistakes too. Just spoke to Duy at Airsoftparts. He said no problem bring back for refund or exchange once he gets new parts. Good company. I've called several times and always get him right away. Answers emails too. I'm not worried about getting a replacement from him, the only problem is availability. I'm going to try to fiddle with this to see if I can make it work. I'd hate to have my stock piece break and be left without a replacement. Last edited by KheSan; March 21st, 2012 at 14:15.. |

It wouldn't be the first time that "cnc" "factory spec" parts made by a 3rd party supplier were out of spec. ALL the TSC part #66's were slightly out as well. Another example were some of the Guarder 226 metal frame kits...some where ok and some must have been made by a cross eyed goof running the drill press.
Some fixable...others not so much. If possible...dump it and buy another brand. If you're going to try for a repair...probably best to fill the hole with a steel epoxy and then index and drill a new hole. |

Is Part #27 still a problem on newer WE SCAR Open Bolts?

As far as I know it is. I bought one just in case. If you compare the stock and the replacement they look/feel pretty similar. But you cant access all that much of the stock one while its still in the gun It won't be until the stock piece breaks that you'll be able to tell whether it's pot metal. Better safe than sorry though.

Does anyone else have the issue where mags dont seat properly in the gun? I found I had to shave down the mag release in order for them to work.

Edit: I have to smack them HARD to get them to seat. Sometimes it's fine with the bolt locked back, other times I still have to smack 'em. |

when you insert a mag with fully loaded bbs but not cocking yet. There will be pressure from the bbs against nozzle(that's why it's better to remove one to two bbs) , and the pin for gas release valve against firing pin. You can try to compare the the difference before modify. First cock the charging handle and lock the bolt, then insert mag to see any difference. Second, remove the mag and release the bolt, then reinsert the mag see any difference. That could have a chance to find out what the problem is. Hope it help.
