Camelbak Linchpin in Multicam. Simply an awesome pack. It's adjustable with a yoke system designed by Mystery Ranch..you know its gonna be awesome then.      Hydrate or Die!

I dare anyone to run out of room on this pack..it's perfectly designed for 24 hours in the field...I have sworn by my eagle 3 day pack for years..this one is my new go to. I am currently working on a full review for you guys.

I thought I would post up my packs since there hasn't been a new post in a while. Sorry for some of the images quality, my lighting wouldn't quite agree.
Kelty Redwing 44. It has been by hiking pack and it can just barely fit all of my stuff inside. A slightly bigger pack would be nice but I can't complain, so far its held up great.    Tasmanian Tiger Essential Pack. Haven't got a ton of use out of it yet but the quality seems to be that of some of my US and Canadian made gear, and for $50 it's hard to beat. It holds 6 liters and fits my source hydration bladder great with room to spare for extra gear.   Quote:

Eagle modular assault pack. It molles onto back, but is attached to the molle by Velcro, so you can probably pull it off yourself. I have short arms so I never really tried when I had that combo, lol.

This is the actual bag that accompanied me to the Ghan, a SORD Day Pack.
Back then it held everything but the kitchen sink; ECM, batteries for that bloody thing, 2 spare mags, extra bags of ammo/link, a Patrol Medic kit as I was also the PM (Combat First Aider was the Aussie term), food, water, cam netting, if you can think of it, somehow it was in there! I bought this bag from SORD Australia, there is http://www.sordusa.com/ now, 1 of me mates discharged and joined the company and actually made a package based on my setup! It's been through the wringer, blown up a few times and is still in 1 piece. I absolutely love it! |

Slight necro thread - but unsure whether I should actually open a separate thread or not.
I am looking for a decent 60-70L pack. In the past, I've always managed with my Camelbak Tri-zip 35L pack on "dry" 24 hr games (which is enough to carry NODS and night-fighting tools, ammo, food, spare commo, batteries and some tools) but I have noticed that if I need to prepare for wet/cold weather I require at least another 20-30L for Goretex softshell top and bottom, fleece, underlayer, spare socks etc. Have been eyeing something like the Pantac Forward Deployment pack (~60L), but anyone with experience with a better pack? |
