OK, now I'm researching camo and here's what I noticed.
US Army enlisted personnel, have to BUY their own uniform??? Its great to know that we can pick up official issued gear, but then again, its no different then working at say McDonald's, they all have to pay for their uniform. Right now I'm leaning to what ever I can get with ease that is official issued clothing and ACU seems to be the clear winner right now, but I do look up to the US Marines. Problem is, its hard to get a hold of issued MARPAT, I take it you can buy new issued ACU clothing? Even CADPAT, but just as hard to get a hold of a new set. Whats that saying? Whats the deadliest weapon? "A Marine and his rifle." Ah Jarhead, gotta love that movie. |

Its true, I have read it also, don't remember where but it was somewhere discussing the change over. But they do get a clothing allowance, and it was adjusted to match the price of the new acu (more expensive.)

Here is a pic of my loadout Cant see the front at all but I have a Ranger Rack in ACU. My MICH isnt in the picture but after the next game I'll post a new pic for you guys. All I need is an OTV in ACU and an ACU cover for my MICH and I'm set.

Constructing my loadout... still require a dropleg MOLLE panel, awaiting for NVG mount and looking into purchasing a MOLLE camelback pouch, radio headset, Oakley A-frame goggles in black and Oakley SI combat gloves (possibly.) But enjoy what I have on there! (guns were removed for safety purposes.)
