I wish. Unfortunately the UBR replaces the whole buttstock buffer extension tube, so a made-for-airsoft version will be needed to fit airsoft receivers. PMags seem more likely to materialize, considering they already make PTS mags.

But then again, I dunno how serious they are about their PTS line. Specially when you have outfits in China knocking stuff off overnight. The lack of support/loyalty from the airsoft community probably limits Magpul's enthusiasm to develop new products for it.

well they seem to be on top of the knock offs since haung is pulling his magpul stocks due to communication from magpul. sucks for us but isn't there a way to convert the buffer tube? oh well hopefully they release the AS version pmags and stocks

It's supposed to screw into the receiver, as a replacement for the extension tube. The way airsoft receivers are made you can't do that. I'd be surprised if they bothered redesigning a PTS version at this point.

Too bad, though... so sexy

where there's a will there's a way.
i could make it work in a week end.
frankly i hate the way airsoft M4 recivers have that back buffertube extension.
it could be made so much better.
also i could make a new type of expanding bushing that you'd thread the stock bolt through that would grip the inside of the buffertube, instead of the current method.
just tighten the bolt untill the buffertube is snug, then tighten the buffer nut.
i think i'll make a model in 3D and see what i can do.

The G&G receivers are actually "proper", and the forthcoming STAR ARs are supposed to be as well.

I know there's probably a way... going by a post Bruce made about the installation of the M93 stock (real steel), I could cut off the threaded portion of the stock and use the stock adapter (intended for the PRS but I'm guessing it would work with other stocks as well).

But then I'm looking at $350+ for a stock. Bigger problem is, according to some sources anyway (like Wolverine Supplies), the US gov isn't allowing the export of the UBR for civilian sales. The CTR stock is also export restricted, but there doesn't seem to be any problem exporting the Magpul PTS version of it, so again it would seem that in the end a PTS version of the UBR is my only hope of getting one.

Magpul PTS is their Professional Training & Simulation line, basically airsoft versions of their regular products (such as mags, MIAD grip, enhanced trigger guard, and made for airsoft stocks).

I'm not sure how the PTS version of the CTR is different than the regular one (the price is the same, and it should be a drop-in replacement, really). But if nothing else there seems to be a supply of them overseas, so it is possible to get them (and even AirsoftParts.ca has one in stock right now, just checked).

A made-for-airsoft-receivers version of the UBR would be useless on real steel weapons, so presumably a PTS UBR wouldn't be export restricted (the US classifies airsoft as plain toys).

On an unrelated note, your username evokes a homoerotically-charged uneasiness in me.

That must be a shitty AEG if the owner has to hide his face with paper bag and sit on top of a toilet while holding it.

The reason he's covering his face is because they're violating copyright. Apparently they were nailed by magpul already

But Magpul PTS can't touch them. They're in HK whereas these are ACM. No shops in HK (esp Mongkok where PTS is located) would ever (publically) sell an ACM in fear of being penalised. But outside of HK OTOH (primarily UK and Japan), it seems reasonably easy to get the ACM Masada.

If anyone out there knows of a "reputable" shop that currently sells these ACM Masadas and would ship one to me in Ohio USA, could they please PM me the info. I sent n email to EbayBanned about them and they said they no longer offer it.

I love that about magpul, you try to steal their brand name to move product and you get slammed hard and fast!
