Are you using a aftermarket hopup chamber or rubber?

When the chamber is assembled and on the barrel, can you see straight through the entire barrel minus a tiny section of hopup rubber that cuts across?

Yeah it's normal to have a tiny bit showing all the time. There's a nub right on the hopup rubber.

I had a problem similar to this with a G36 I was fixing. I think the problem was a shitty hopup rubber not forming a seal with the nozzle.

hmm...heres what happened...
out of the box, it was great.
opened it up to install sorbo and a slighty weaker sping, when i put it back together this happened...
trying to fix it i already switched back to the stock sping, and compleatly dis-assembled/re-assembled my hop up, with no luck...

Is your spring intact/installed, so the barrel/hopup assembly pushes against the mechbox?

It would help.
Your hop up should spring back to you when you place it in the upper.

Hmm, spring back just a little. I'm not sure if your hop up is supposed to hit your gearbox.
