How hard would it be for Ken to figure out who this gun is for when it's going to Kitchener? I'm sure he doesn't ship one there every day, maybe once a month?
KitKiller, the rules on here very much reflect the laws of Canada as well. With a few exceptions, airguns are limited sales to 18+ only, replicas are prohibited devices and sales for them are 18+ when permitted by law, which is rare. We are cautioning you as well as telling you the way things really are, not the way you think they are. You know only about 1% of what actually goes on with these things, I assure of that. Lots of trouble for you lays in the remaining 99% you don't know, but think you do. We can't force you to not buy a gun, the internet doesn't work that way. You are obviously bent on getting one, and will probably do so no matter what we say. But be warned that when you turn 18, you may have to play with your "buddies", as the local community may shun you for your actions here, and shut you out from the truly fun side of airsoft. Pay the price now and wait, or pay it later, but you will pay it either way. That is the way the world works.

For the record, I have no problems with kids owning airsoft or air guns when they're handled responsibly and under direct adult supervision. My 9 year old son has 2 AEGs, a gas pistol, and a BB gun. He uses his guns under my direct supervision, doesn't have access to them without me, and I'm teaching him proper gun handling and safety so that when he is of age, he can use them properly and safely in a responsible manner. In such a scenario, it's perfectly fine for any minor to 'own' airsoft or air guns. And contrary to the popular belief around here, it's not illegal for anyone under 18 to own an air gun. People can throw that 'rule' around all they want and believe it all they want, it doesn't make it a fact. The law in most provinces state you have to be 18 to BUY an AIR gun, which means a parent can buy one for their kid. Clearsoft guns that are readily available at places like Canadian Tire and Walmart are classified as an AIR guns or 'softair', not airsoft. That's the law that everyone keeps stating applies to airsoft. No so. In terms of Airsoft the way we look at it (non-clear replicas), the law states that NO ONE of ANY AGE is allowed to buy or sell them since Dec 1 1998. The transfer of airsoft guns, be it privately between individuals or from a business like shootsoft or 007, is ILLEGAL. That's the basic breakdown of the law on airsoft. Yes, airsoft as a whole occupies a grey area because of conflicting definitions in these laws, which is why no one is hunted down and prosecuted by authorities for buying airsoft gun. Hell, there are even members of law enforcement that participate in airsoft games. But make no mistake - the law is clear on the subject of the TRANSFER of airsoft guns (replicas). It is illegal.

You got it. So we can hypocritically throw that "18+ or it's illegal" rule around all we want. The fact is, ALL airsoft sales are illegal. Like DONSTER stated, the retailers are taking huge risks selling us our guns. That's part of the reason why the price is so high, just as with any other illegal commodity. The difference is that because of the ambiguity of the law and its conflicting statements, posession of airsoft isn't illegal.

personally, i think replicas should be legal, and you just need a permit to own one. that way, you got the 18+ rule in effect (in order to purchase the permit) and it keeps track of who owns airsoft/replicas.

Transfer of replicas is prohibited. Airsoft guns may or may not be replicas, depends who's doing the determination of that. Nowhere in the CCC does it state that airsoft is a replica, or that it is prohibited.
This is an old argument guys. Best some of you read the FAQ as well.
