Righto, I can get those.
I'm bored as hell, there's nothing really to do for the next 2 hours- I'll get these out of the way now.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I think we'll need someone else to help with the rubber padding, and a last person for the snap-lock and torsion spring mechanism.

My suggestion? Seriously consider being a little more ambitious and replicating the folding handle.

Folding handle? What do you mean?
If you mean the folding pistol grip- um, fuck no.

That would be VERY hard and potentially damaging to the internals, we'd basically have to design and build a whole lower part of the glock, keeping the slide and internals. Figuring out how it would all fold might also be tricky with the limited information we have on the gun.. Maybe as a future project, but that's out of the way for now.

That's half the point of the gun, though. It's a folding gun, not a folding case for a gun.

Yeah, but looking at the Glock bits- that's REALLY, REALLY risky. I'd rather it be a folding case for the gun, that happens also to be a stock and sights, then something like that- one messup and we've just lost a KSC G26. A drop-in conversion would be far better, in my opinion- unless someone else wants to risk it with THEIR Glock. I'd still like to be able to untighten the clamps and take my Glock out if need be.

Well, the kit is fine without it needed to have the grip folding, if the grip were to fold, that would mean that there would be no storage space inside of the stock.

Ah, I didn't realize you didn't want to chop the Glock. That changes things.

Just for the sake of discussion, this is what I was suggesting. Obviously, it requires a Glockrafice.

Hmm- taking the Glock apart and looking at it, that could work. Still, I'd rather not butcher it- but I like the concept quite a bit, and hopefully someone with more balls then me can actually risk doing that, preferrably with an 18C or something big.

I think it'd be easier just to mold the modified grip from scratch, instead of modifying an existing one. But then why would we use a glock grip? The RS uses it's own grip I believe, just the glock slide.

I know someone with a broken Glock, maybe us Ontario folks can give it a shot.

Hmm- well, the mechanisms work well together. If you have the internals from a Glock grip (Ontario player's broken Glock, for instance- how is it broken?), the lower receiver and a new folding grip, I can see it working out pretty well if done right.

I think it'd be easier to design and build the grip from scratch, or from the original FMG-9 and have it connect to the glock slide.

I can see that messing up a lot if you do it wrong, you'd need to keep the entire pistol grip and a lot of the stuff together or it'd break- also, the battery and whatnot still has to be connected?
