Stock KS spring, so I'm guessing whatever the TM spring for P90s usually is, reasoning for the low fps maybe.
For a new spring though I'm looking at either a SP90 or 120 spring but I'm stil doing some research on which is a better fit. Last edited by Short Round; August 30th, 2010 at 03:20.. |

the stock spring for echo 1 P90 is m110 or m100. It shoot's 375+ FPS and I thought the spring would be the same for KS. That's weird, have you tried using any other spring? and check if there was any improvements?

Yup will do that. Also will try a new battery too. Spring is the same as the echo1 I meant, not the TM blah.
The O-Ring that also came with my new Piston head was very loose so I swapped it for the stock one. NoW that could also be a problem, but I highly doubt it. Last edited by Short Round; August 30th, 2010 at 09:12.. |

did you do a compression test when you had the mechbox apart? Sometimes the o rings seem like they are loose but are just fine.
now sure of the spring on a p90 but did you put it back in the right way? with the tighter coils at the back riding on the spring guide.

Seemed to pass the compression test too. I also noticed that the Nozzle was a bit loose on the tappet. Would a V7 Spring Guide work in a Gearbox V6? Last edited by Short Round; August 30th, 2010 at 10:08.. |

yea do the compression test with and without the nozzle.
I am not sure what nozzle the p90 takes but if you can get a few different ones I would do that and see what works best. if nothing else you will know this gun inside and out buy the time you are done so that's a plus. On another note I know what you are going through as I have gone through the same thing on a few guns. you think you have the problem worked out (and yes it gets a bit better) but then something else comes up lol.

Its a P90, an SMG... Not a Sniper Rifle.
You dont HAVE to get it to 400 fps. Mine is sitting at a very comfortable 320fps Irregular pitch springs, the compressed side (Irregular pitch side) goes towards the Spring Guide. No it cannot take v7 spring guides, and no you cant use any other length nozzle other than the P90 length.

Take this with a with a grain of salt... after checking for leaks, you might want to swap to a type 0 cylinder (if you have one) since you extended your barrel length.

Noticed the bevel gear's bushing was spinning around while I tested my gearbox. Will add more shims to it once I test it out. Just made a purchase for a new tappet plate, nozzle and spring guide (V2) Last edited by Short Round; August 30th, 2010 at 16:51.. |

If the spring is the same as the echo 1 P90, then there's something wrong with your P90's compression. I believed you didn't buy the right parts for your gun. Unless you bought the modify E90 kit (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2261) then you should get at least 360 FPS. Did you buy the parts separately or they came in kits? I just have a feeling that, there's something off with your gearbox. I mean when I changed my parts, I made sure its made for P90 not just relying on the version number. I dont know I just think its weird and weak for all that upgrades you've done

I have all those parts in that Airsoft GI package BUT the Cylinder, don't know if that would matter. Mine has one port which is suggested for my 430mm inner barrel It could be that though, I think the o-ring on my cylinder head isn't getting a tight enough seal actually come to think about it. I'm using the stock one it came with since the one it came with is too loose. Do you guys suggest I use the o-ring that came with the cylinder head or go out a buy one? Yes still 290 Anyways my nozzle, plate, and spring guide are coming in so I'll update you later once I install everything. Last edited by Short Round; September 1st, 2010 at 11:32.. |
