I'm pretty displeased with this battery business, thanks for the heads up, I'll have to look into it.

yeah the CM G&G Blowback series comes with the 9.6v 1400mah battery standard, you don't even need to special request it to be added like other models.

I've ran my rifle with the 9.6 it came with and an 8.4 that i've got... and I gotta say it's a wicked difference. Way higher ROF with the 9.6

Yea, I sent him an email, because if this gun comes with a 9.6 standard from G&G, and I got an 8.4 from.. Wal-mart apparently, that's quite the problem, even for performance of the gun, supposed to go to a game on the 26th, can't field this if the battery only lasts a few minutes before conking out.

Fairly nice review. What range was the accuracy test done at?
and btw, the front side is removable. You just need to hammer out the two pins and unscrew the 1mm set screw hidden at the bottom of the front sight. |

The barrel/front sight is cast out of a single piece of metal with Combat Machine M4s, the gun uses a three piece outer barrel.

Well, according to the manuals and papers from the package, this gun should have included the battery that Ken showed, and the battery every other person has gotten. The main manual says "Charge for 3 hours" This 8.4 600mah sits on the charger for about 45 minutes before it indicates the charge is full, and then performs for about 6 minutes and its done.
If for some reason you end up with the same battery I got, I suggest you do what Ken said and contact your supplier. I've done so myself, and am waiting on a response. Really don't feel like dropping more money on a battery I should have gotten to begin with. |

Haha, the problem was resolved by Mach1.
They test all guns prior to sending them out, and the battery they test with was accidentally shipped out with the gun. The proper battery is being sent, and the test battery is being sent back to Mach1. |

Nice. Yeah Shinobii is a good guy... the rifle I ordered had a broken part on the lower receiver and he sent me a new lower.

Pretty Hard... depending on what you want... Barrels and stuff are the same as other AEGs But upper receiver is different.

Pistons, gears, springs, spring guides, etc...no problem. All compatible stuff.
The only things that are not "compatible/standard" are the spring release mech, anti-reversal latch, cylinder and mechbox shell (and piggyback cylinder/piston for the blow back). The cylinder isn't going to wear/break...and the spring release/AR latch look pretty beefy so probably not an issue. If you blew the front end of the mechbox...you might be stuck without a factory direct replacement (and it'll probably be the complete mechbox...$$$...and not just the shell). The last one I saw had a mis-shapen cylinder head. The tappet plate would bind and not travel freely enough forward. Same as the other...shimming was horrible, grease was like vaseline. Having said that, I think that you can swap in a regular v2 mechbox. You would loose the "blowback" and the spring release function...but at least it'd spit bbs again. |
