im curious to see how the internals are. Please update the review should you take your gun apart. Also, how is the performance? Have you used it in a game yet? How many rounds have been through it to date?

dammit, I forgot to take pics as I disassembled the gun. The internals are exactly the same as the ones in TCLP's review. I have yet to take this to a game, but it has gone through a bag of 1000 ICS .20g bb.

I currently have gone through about 4000 rds with no wear on the internals. G&G .20's, Toyjet.28's, and metal tech .25's. Star, MAG, King arms, and G&G mags all work well in the gun. For more info refer to my review here:

TCLP ordered the GR17 LIGHT Combo. It's from G&G's plastica series, so the upper is nylon/fibre. The GR16 R4 Commando that I got was from G&G's full metal line, so the upper is metal.

Yes very true. As for bushings all have metal bushings, but... and its a big but.... the plastica ones have 6mm solid metal bushings were as the metal ones have 8mm bearing bushings. Bearing bushings have a tendancy to wear out faster.

Add a mk23 style suppressor from king arms, and then a long inner barrel is easily possible. Oh and congrats!

it was very nice to see airsoft at the sportsman show. CAS's new gbbs are nice and feel very solid. machone guys are great and i was happy to see the ump ive been looking at buying. We sell G&G at my store and everyone has had nothing but good to say about them. The smoked lwrs from CAS are not that clear, really tinted so i probley wont even paint mine. I have tested painting these recievers from the inside but found satin krylon works best on the out side with the crayon trick. wasnt too happy with internal painting.

To all those asking about the buyairsoft version, I purchased one but its the CQB edition with the shorter barrel. Its the R4 version and has the slightly more tented lower receiver. The upper receiver is plastic but I couldn't tell at first, because it felt metal cold and has awesome texturing. What surprised me however, is the fact that it has the exact same branding as the mach 1 version of the op! (machine shop, etc, etc). The gun is of very high quality, the weight is perfect, and everything else as as shown by the op.
