I know silencers are iffy coming over the border, but can flash hiders pass through legally?

Flash Hiders shouldn't be a problem. I ordered my TM Knight's Pro Silencer from AirsoftGlobal in Hong Kong and it went right through customs without a hitch.

Only -14mm flash hiders will fit your Cybergun SIG 552 unless you get an - to + adapter.

Did you have a hard time removing the trigger guard/mag release assembly from the lower receiver? Because I certainly did.

Ok, so by "re-brand" you mean its just re-labeled and go? Internals and major components will all be on par quality-wise, right? This is what I gather from reading, but it never hurts to double-check.

Buddy of mine is looking at getting into the sport and wants a 552. But he's scottish so cheaper + effort in repairs = better than upfront cost. That being said, I know of a few JGs that have lasted for quite a while so after a slow painful disassembly, re-greasing and re-shimming, and possibly a couple of new parts in the mechbox, a Cybergun 552 should be pretty good reliability-wise??? Yes, I know cybergun isn't necessarly JG, but if one is just a re-breand of the other, you can kinda see my thought process on this.

look up threads on FOREST CITY SURPLUS
there is one particular post saying that the cybergun is just the same quality as the JG/TM. This came from a guy who owned a TM sig 552.
