I either have or have had most of the guns that are being discussed. I didn't read the entire thread that thoroughy, but I think you may have missed the M2 gas carbine, which is an absolute hoot.
The 8mm gas garand is a great replica but it has a small clip that pops out when you are finished firing that would be easy to loose which makes it iffy for fielding. You can also get a kit to convert an M14 into a Garand from a number of different sources. The M3A1 Grease Gun is also a lot of fun. The weight is strange and it shakes like an epileptic, but that is just realism. With the upgraded spring and inner barrel it is not half bad. Just don't expect long range accuracy. The Thompson tends to be the AS workhorse for WWII allied guns. Ld

Orphus Socom
I recently purchased an After Math Orphus Socom which is close to the look of the M-14. I'm realatively new to soft air and an old phart to boot. I trained with the M-14 back in the early 1960's when I was in the military.
I'm extremely pleased with the Orphus Socom. Accurate right out of the box and after plinking with it 2 to 3 times a day in the back yard I have had no problems to date with it. I would like to find more information on it, like a schematic would be nice. It came with a minimal amount of instructions and very little useable information. I've been eyeing this thing since I started playing WaW.
Too bad the mechbox is an AGM. SGS Custom Airsoft PPSH-41 C'mon people isn't it SEXY!? If only there was a GBB version  OKAY fine it's not U.S. but still WWII

I'm wondering for a while now. Why the hell there is no mass produced PPSH AEG. That thing can be used for WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Insurgent, hell, even Russian mob
 and a bunch of other impressions. aZn_triXta07, AGM mechbox is not that bad, my MP40 works fine. I don't like the idea of using build-in hicap but otherwise it looks like a great gun. Too bad price tag is high.

no the grease gun was american it was a simple easy to make weapons that was mass produced like the british sten gun.

Yeah it's really pricey. I remember a local here built one out of a de-activated one I think, it was a few years back it was so NICE I fell in love with the PPSH 41 there.
Yeah the built-in hicap is a turn off, there is a classic kit floating around for it but there's a hose from the gun to the mag so changing mags would be inconvenient. Quote:
