Leecas Awesome job..I love the look of the 1919. I am curious about the materials you used to fabricate it. I have wanted to do a .50 for some time and this is giving me the inspiration to crack on with it. Just a small niggle and I may be wrong but isn't that a M1917 pistol grip? I thought the 1919 had a metal grip. Great job I will be really interested to see how you mod the M14 Internals.

I used PVC sheets, 3mm and 5mm. ABS and PVC pipe. You are correct the 1919 had a metal grip which is too difficult to reproduce and it was a lot cheaper for me to make a grip from wood then to buy a real grip.

Just the shell right now. I've ordered a servo and a few other things to make the Ammo feed and I've started to strip down my M14. Other then that I haven't gotten very far on it. Frigin life keeps getting in the way. It won't be ready for the April game but I really want it done by June so I can go to the next project.

I'm not sure... it isn't much without the internals. I'll see what I can do about bringing it on the 13th... I don't see that as being a problem.

I never did finish this thread so I thought that I would bring it back to life and give a final update.

It is totally complete and fully functional. It has been out to several Living History events... the kids and adults love to get there picture taken with it.

It has made it's way out to a firing range and it was great to see the real shooters put on their hearing protection and realize that hey it's just airsoft. It finally got to game and got some kills. It has tasted blood and wants more!
