If you get ready for production before you get the license, just take out the song from the video. And then add it in afterwards. That or try to get something your friends played. How much is a commercial license anyways?

The video and grenade rocks. The best airsoft commercial/info-video I've ever seen

I just secured the license for a recording for the same song. Manchovie is working on it as it needs a little work still (pacing and some effects).

I was hoping to be launching right around now, but my supplier of machined parts is running very behind schedule. I think my job got bumped by a very valuable contract from someone else as their delivery expectations jumped back around 3wks.
I've acquired my own CNC lathe and was planning to ascend the production machinist curve in the coming year and insource my machined parts production. Recent delays are making me consider insourcing the job sooner, but I have no idea how well that'll go. I'd have preferred to learn at my own leisure, but I may have to get past the tool crashing stage sooner than I hoped.

I'm hoping end of march. If some things go right I could start servicing my preorders soon, but I wouldn't be able to make them very fast as it would take me significant engineering to get my lathe working high production (I have to engineer my own toolchanger).
Still, I want to meet my obligations to preorder particapants ASAP. I'm not taking more preorders as I can't fulfill any more orders in a timely manner. If things go right with my own lathe, preorders go out in a week. If not and I have to wait for the proper production run, more like end of March.

I took preorders at TAC-08. I was going to open preorders on my site, but unforseen difficulties are delaying my launch. I will be offering my preorder list a refund on their small deposit in case they don't want to wait for the final release.
I'm glad I didn't open a wider preorder. Things were going all rosy until the machinist thing. I've also had some QC issues that have been resolved and further lifecycle testing caught some problems that could have made it to market if I pushed things too fast. Nobody wants this thing to launch more than I. Most of my waking thoughts are grenade related. I can't wait to finally start selling these damn things and start paying off my mould. The launch timing is awful. I've got a run of propane adaptors to assemble just as this stupid thing starts eating more time. My shop is going to get packed with parts inventory for simultaneous production runs. Gotta get this thing launched so I can sleep. Sleep and think of new products. It's crazy, but I've got two more doodads I want to work on as soon as I can stop eating cat food and afford R&D again. At least this friggin grenade has some subtlety to it's workings. I'm hoping it'll stymie asian copyshops for a year or two by the time my patents become enforceable.

Carl.....Less chat, more double shifts and late nights working!!!
LOL. Seriously, I don't think anyone is worried about a refund, we all know your work, and everyone will be paitently waiting for you to perfect your new baby. Take all the time you need (....less chat, more double shifts and late nights working...). SHA DO
