Nah, thats perfectly fine. The classifieds are full of "Posting this for a friend" ads. Savage probably knows--But just in case, I believe Phalanix (not Lisa) is currently taking care of Age Verification updates.

Sorry to jump in with my problem but I'm also looking for someone in the area (Oshawa, ON) to verify my age. I have already sent an e-mail message to the person who seems to be closest to my place but no answer.
BTW, I'm turning 53 and I think this age verifying process needs improvement.

You can't be verified unless you make a personal visit to one of the Verifiers here in Canada.

It will only let you access the buy and sell section here anyway so it's irrelevant as you can't sell to individuals in Canada and can find other local sources of Airsoft that cost much less than we pay.

Sorry its volunteers, asc isnt a company with paid employees, its just a community forum with people who are willing to take a little bit out of their day to do something extra for it.

I do appreciate all kinds of volunteer work but I can't think of any reason why to make the private purchase or sale of an air gun so difficult. The person who can or will(???) qualify me is probably much younger than I am with a fraction of experience in target shooting. Can't wait to see him/her...

it's nothing personal against anyone
it also has nothing to do with your skill with firearms or maturity
i am shure that you are all of age but we need to make 100% shure you are.
once that is done ( and only has to be done once in your life! )
then your set.

i sometimes sucks that the volunteers are not around sometimes.
you best bet is to email more than one and hope for the best.

but i agree that they should open up to get a few more age verifiers going becuse some of these old timers are not around much anymore.

You seem to think that you being older than myself has dick shit to do with this game of airsoft. So you can target shoot, good for you. I can pee in a straight line too. If you don't like the rules and regulations, keep to target shooting and leave airsoft well enough alone. It's not that difficult. We would typically expect someone of your age to understand this, and it must be a little embarrassing to be told all of this by someone who is LITERALLY half your age.

If age verification isnt an option, just buy new. I dont have time for the age ID checking process so I dont buy used airsoft anything on this forum.

There arent really any bargains on used AEGs, for what you pay. For me, even $200 dollars difference between new and used, I'd go with the new item. At least you know what you get when you buy new!

Age has nothing to do with more experience or more respect deserved or anything like that.

There are pricks that are 50 years old and there are pricks that are 20 years old.

To compare experience you would need to compare similar situations in one's life and you can't do just that so the fact that you're 53 and can shoot a real gun doesn't mean anything on here. Mostly that this is airsoft and this is the internet.

I hate it when people think that because they are older they should deserve more respect and prioritize over me or anyone younger. Age doesn't mean shit except the fact that you've spent more time alive than me. You may have lived more things than me but then again you may have not. Furthermore, the things you may have lived won't necessarily be related to my life. A war veteran isn't a better person than an accountant.

Sorry about the highjack, it just pisses me off to see things like that.
