Exactly... that's why I asked. A movie/game-ish setup could always pass a beret, but any realistic or PMC would never wear a beret.

And please, adjust correctly that CIRAS. Plates would be a nice thing, too...

Well it just looks loose, empty (no plates) and to sit too low on your torso.

^this

You need to adjust the shoulder pads, bring the vest up so it actually covers your torso, and get some dummy plates in there. You might also consider putting your mags in it when you're taking pictures.

Also, as others have said, ditch the beret. Get a low-profile baseball cap or, at worst, a boonie or watch cap.

You might also consider getting a tan/OD shemagh instead.

Also sunglasses or something... For the shemagh, I personally believe you can keep it.

Obviously, you don't want to look like an afro-american hippie in a white supremascist hunt party (don't ask my where I got this comparison, lol) but you don't need to be ubercamouflaged either... So a non-camo shemagh is good enough.

Screw the lot of you. Berets freaking rule. So he wants to go game-ish...let him. Airsoft is half gameplay, half looking aweome while you do it. And berets are awesome. Do your thing, RITZ. I'd imagine a real PMC doesn't go for a "PMC look"...they just do what works. If a beret works for you, then rock it. But if you really do want to go full-out milsim, then listen to what these guys are telling you. ASC is a goldmine of info like that. But don't get sucked into the "perfect my kit as per pictures of real soldiers" trap if you don't want to.
