go to the dollar store and buy one of those screw driver sets. The small ones. One of them is perfect size.

Then just cut it.

Or just cut the one it comes with....

Or just PM me. I might have a couple left...

Oh heck, it's just a pin I can trim down to size?

Well... I feel silly.

Yeah you COULD trim it down but that means you wont be able to mount the thumb rest ever again...

Sweet Gen4 frame! I haven't seen one on an airsoft yet!
The pinning was done for strength in an effort to avoid the snapped front post that tends to plague TM based Glock 17 pistols. So far, so good. If anything it looks better since the pin was cleaned up- you can notice the divot in the pin from the punch, as it was toleranced fairly tightly.

The Generation 4 frame is actually made by a WE offshoot, HK3. HK3 is structured so that they can produce WE parts with correct trademarks, and fold if need be when litigation comes their way. WE might have poor metal, but they make up for it with excellent polymers. The frame is grippy, but should be worn in a duty belt or away from clothing- it will ruin your clothing. Mag release is nice and bit, and is reversible. The magazines, however, are still right handed only.

The light is a TLR-1, and it works well for what it's intended for. With that said, I would have preferred a X300 for the smaller size, but at that point you're just getting pedantic.

I'm also running a dual recoil spring similar to the Gen 4 pistols.

Does anybody even use that thumb rest? Everybody that I've asked to try it has come back to me with some sort of frustration at an uncomfortable grip.

It's an acquired taste.
I personally dont use it anymore because it's troublesome to holster. My retention clip can't...uhh..clip(?) with the thumbrest on.

That particular grip set up actually counteracts the low bore axis inherent to the GLock. It increases it.

Many competitive shooters use them with the extended magazine catch so their thumb doesn't have to work as hard to get to the magazine catch itself.

Overall, it's pretty cumbersome but you get used to it after a while....
