M102404, thanks for the encouragement. I may go that route if the following doesn't work. I'd like to try not taping if I can.
Coach, thanks for the links. Are you talking about a fitting like MTC male straight on this age/image? http://hosesupply.ca/pnfittings.html ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339644101.320578.jpg I think the PX4 threading is M5 .80, so I'll try the M5/6mm MTC. I'll bring in my mag to the store to try it out. Hopefully they will be ok with that. Then I can hook the 6mm up to the Palmer setup, right? |

The fill valve threading is not common/standard that you'd find a fitting that would screw in no problem, otherwise a lot of people would have done conversions long, long ago.
What brand mags are you trying to convert? |

Best of luck finding a stock off the shelf fitting. Report back if you do.

I was wondering. How about using a compressor, a 1/4" inch to 1/8" adapter, and having that plug into the magazine?
Obviously it's not mobile, but I am using this set up only for inside target practice anyway. So, is using an air compressor as a HPA air source problematic? |

Just keep the internals of the GBB lubed. I have the adapter from the magazine connected to a 4mm hose which leads to a 4mm to 6mm adapter and then the 6mm hose to 1/8" NPT to 1/4" NPT to my air source. |

That's great! Where did you buy all the fittings?
Also, did you tap the mag, or did you find a fitting for the valve hole? |

If its 4mm hose to 6mm hose on an air rig, he's using the adapter fittings that I posted, which replaces the fill valves.
edit: lol, beat me to it |

Hey guys
So I found a Madbull co2 charger when I was digging through my parts bin. It look something like this. Just carious, if I find a head connecter and hook it up to a tapped mag and set the PSI, would that work? And is it similar to having use the 'redlineairsoft'? If so, anyone know if there is an air hole adapter to replace the 'refill adapter'? Thanks. Last edited by highny; June 16th, 2012 at 01:53.. |

You can find a kit very easily online.
Just look for PolarStar HPA kit. They range from 150 to 300$. Palmer Pursuit is a good brand. I also like Ninja quite a lot. (Well, on paintball stuff). If you want to build your own kit, most HPA painball tanks are built with a 750psi regulator on the bottle. Then you need a first regulator to drop around 400psi. And finally a secondary to drop from 400 to 120ish. The reason why you want a few steps is that regulators are not good a dropping pressure from large amounts. Think of it like going down your roof. You might be able to jump down, but it's a lot easier if you have to drop only 2'. You want the line between the bottle and the first reg. to be as short as possible (preferably screwed directly on the bottle). Then the line to the secondary longer (at the base of your sling for a rifle is good. And the last line, from sec. reg. to the gun even longer. That helps stabilizing the pressure as you get closer to your mark. |
