Hi i have recently bought a Kalashnikov(cybergun) AK74 SU and its a really amazing gun.
But on the box it says that the gun has ben upgraded to shoot between 420 and 450 fps witch is to high for most of the game. And since i dont have a chrono i can be sure of the fps before being at the game. I would like to know if anyone know witch spring i could use to lower the fps at a resonable 350-400 fps. Thanks

So browsing through these posts and a brief pass on google - Cyma & Cybergun have worked together on certain products but aren't exactly the same company.
A lot of positivity has been noted on the Cyma brand for the Ak74u. Im currently looking at picking up the Cybergun make. Majority of reviews on it seem to be 12 year olds on youtube and i'm having a rough go at finding something legit. Is there anything to be noted about the Cybergun make? Parts/innards that have to be replaced right off the bat? (eg. G&P gears in g&p aegs etc.) Im completely new to AKs as i've always been an M4 hoarder and I really dont want to make a sour purchase Also R.I.S and Mag fitment - Want to make sure Cybergun isn't finicky with certain brands. I've found a Cyma brand on airsoftmilsim.ca - is there a way to tell if its a newer generation - as in a better choice? |

OP Once verified there is a retailer here selling new Classic army 105's for less than$320 . and not the sportline version either. I bought one and i'm so happy with that i check every morning to make sure it wasn't a dream

Edit: For anyone wondering I've checked out certain DBOYS R.I.S systems for AK74us and they do not fit on CYMAs - They will have to be customized for proper fitment.

Cybergun is a rebrander, they don't make anything.
The Cybergun AKS74U is a Cyma, as are most of their AK models. Your statement is contradictory. Cybergun AK's ARE Cyma. |

I picked myself up the Cyma.
Any of you others have a black plastic hop up? Disassembly videos i've watched seemed to contain a silver metal one And for the size of this gun the weight is outrageous! Its way heavier than the 3 m4's I currently have. |

Yup black plastic is standard.

aps is very good unless you change some part piston and get a tight bore thats it you have a beast but i agree stock is a piece or shit that why aps a peace of shit but for the price change the part and you will be over all the other brand for sure i have one and its very accurate guarder 300mm 6.02 and metal piston and cheap spring from a famas form canadian tire pulling 400fps consistant

Aren't APS externals ok? It's a stamped steel AK for less than $300.

APS's have been shit on this entire thread - even tho I've never owned one - I can base my opinion on the numerous other brands i've owned:
You get what you pay for - and I dont really agree with buying guns you have to put aftermarket parts into right off the bat but it happens. With the Cyma: Would anyone suggest using a metal hop up unit for air seal reasons? I'm going to have to swap out my spring with a bit more consistency either way - the fps currently has a range im not satisfied with at 332-347fps Last edited by Rabbit; June 12th, 2012 at 09:31.. |

Certainly not! I held an APS AKS74U a couple years ago. The body was some really brittle feeling pot metal. They gave it this weird texture that almost made it feel like plastic. The wood was also next to nasty . Would really stay away.
