Just a thought but could this twang be caused by the Element springs that are replacing the stock ones? The only reason i ask is that it seems the twang is consistant with the pre-downgraded models.

Ok, mine came with Element 125 spring not installed. Unless it is and they put another one in the box by mistake. Have no chrono to test. Still twangs though.

Yup thats what they do they replace it before sending it and give you the original inside the element package. Just to be sure what color is the spring in the package?

Yup that looks like the original they must have swapped it before shipping, now if ya want to be 100% positive you could always PM the guy/store/retailer you got it from and just confirm with him

Re-assembled. No misfeeds. Gun is good so far, from 80ft with bipod and no scope can hit coke can 5 out of 5. Bipod isn't the best quality have to admit. Twang is still there

No not really. The staff on ASC can't control sales outside the forums.

They can try to discourage it but they have no power outside this forum. Plus as long as the seller ensures the person they're selling to is 18 they dont' really care.

You can not however advertise you have a gun for sales on CL on this forum (outside the AV only section).

There is however a problem of being a proxy for distribution/selling (to minors) which the admins hate and I believe will get your AV revoked (remember it's a privilege the staff on this forum give, not a god given right) and put on the no AV list (as almost happened with some 15 year old kids mom).

Have you tried swapping out the spring guide? I have a feeling that the outer diameter of the guide is smaller than the inner diameter of the spring allowing it too much space to bounce around and resonating in the cylinder. Take them out and see how loose it sits or if you can, measure them with a caliper. The guide should be 7mm or 9mm.

Update:

Ok after swapping out the spring guide still the twang remained
Changed springs= Twangs
Changed Piston = Twangs

Changed everything eccept the cylinder and cylender head = Twangs

Now heres where it gets fucked up i pulled everything out and put everything back in that was there when i ordered it including the Element spring, Only after i packed and i mean packed the last 5-7 coils on the spring guide with Lithium Grease The TWANG HAS FINNALY GONE!!!!
Note: I was only doing this on a whim i usually dont use that much grease but seen it on another forum and was willing to give it a try.

It has been over 500 rnds and the dreaded Twang hasnt returned thank god, nothing but a faint "pfft" sound now. I will update this if it ever comes back.

Also if anybody could shed some light on why this worked? id be much appreciated
