Tyson has held a newb event recently, and Brian McIllmoyle regularly holds ATQ1 courses which offers a crash course type training event. So the Southern Ontario contingent has taken its course of action.

Instead of this being for newbies.. I think players should travel more to experience airsoft in other provinces
This summer I plan on going from Manitoba to BC playing a bit in each. |

You know we could make this a "Canada wide" kind of thing, where there's a general outline that everyone follows to cover newbie things like rules, transport and care of airsoft, playing dynamics, and such and then the hosts can add in their own material as they see fit. This way there's at least a standard of what a newbie should learn on one of these newbie days.
However the way that the newbie days are currently handled I can't complain (I've actually never been to one but from what it sounds like these are high quality and greatly structured already).

It's a sweet idea in theory, but not likely to ever happen +1 More dedicated players are more likely to participate in this kind of thing, not noobs.

At least plan it around one of the big games of the year like Claybank. We drove from Calgary to Saskatchewan for that.

As a "noob" I think this is a great idea and I support the idea of regional games to limit the travel/time commitment.
I hope this gets off the ground and +1 for Barrie!

Just what I wanted to hear
This is awesome!
I have been busy saving for three kit styles / weapons. My next plan of action was to get the propper training, to become an efficient airsoft soldier. (I'm gettin ready for a post-apocolyptic era, with Zombies everywhere LOL). I will prepare to go anywhere if it's worth it. |

Yay us! That would indeed be kool, If there was an even planned far enough into the future encouraging all Atlantic players to go I'd definatley try to get there. Especially if there's a tactical BBQ.

Hey guys thanks for all the response. It sounds like a bit of an interest for some and yet little faith...
Ok so to better accomodate the potential of this idea lets streamline this. Not green just off the street (or basement) newbs that ruin krakens and rock the .12g but rather a group of 5-20 (thats a hope) who meet in a central location or are picked up along the way. The participants would have to be ready for the price of a road trip and the necessities for airsoft. No one wants to play with a gun crazed (or knife) newb for a week and have to drive for 10+ hours with them! We want mature (I'm 23) people who can be welcomed through out the provinces. Seeing as I am in Southern Alberta I will be starting from here and willing to meet up with others through Sask. and Man. to bring to Ont. The best way would be to play a few games along the way in those places that the group want to hit. I find the summer to be more fitting for my schedule and yet a final date has yet to be set. For anyone in Ontario we could set up a meeting in Manitoba for a game and all leave with them on to Barrie or where ever we see fit. This could be a legendary crew out on an epic journey to the center of proving Pus wrong (and meeting him)!
