The one on RSOV has a copy of the instructions, and it shows a two-pin headset/mic plug on the side. It seems possible that the MBITR plug on the top may not actually be used.

I'm pretty interested in this piece, but like most people pretty wary as to the quality, etc. Be a shame to drop 250 on it and find out it's junk like all the other knockoffs.

I have a contact in China on them... I asked at what price I can have one for evaluation, and then depending if I can have more for a price significantly lower than the retail* I might setup a group order.

*I say significantly lower than retail, as in if the price they give me is like 235 it's not worth the trouble organising this

BTW both the side Kenwood-type plug works (so for clone headsets, it's a go) and the top MIL-STD is also said to be working (I'm waiting for a confirmation on that).

FYI

Unique LCD display, the same size and structure with the origial one; body with true printing and lettering.the battery and the body can be splited. All the screws on the body are not for decoration , all can be detachable. Factory restore trademark and nameplate can be found at the side of the body. Open theSimulated interface dust cover on the body side, it can be used with the kenwood plug directly. At top of the plug ,there is 5 pins circule structure,which can be used with headphones or Microphone. All keys are available and have specific funtions. Acessory of the item: Deluxe set, a long folding antenna, a short folding antenna, charger ,battery,maual ,D-ROM and data lines,airsoft player can enter any requencies into the intercom with PC. Antenna extension cable, Molle system fixed card,which used in the the back of the MOLLE system webbing to fixed the antenna. The intercom are connected with the antenna with the Antenna extension cable.

I have a COMTAC radio with MBITR plugs, so if I can get my hands on one, i.e. if there is a group buy maybe I could buy one down here, then I could test it. It's funny but I run the Puxing and Woxun radios and they have the Kenwood plugs, so either way I think I should be ok with this radio. What remains to be seen is if I will actually want to carry it, because the new wouxun has more features and is lighter (plus no bulky MBITR plug barrel assembly.)
