Looks like Amos and I should team up more often and share info regarding our areas of expertise with good but different platforms.

How's the bolt push on your CA24? Do they suffer from the same problem as non-PDI VSR's? |

Mine is relatively smooth, but depends on burrs on the receiver or sand. What is the typical VSR push like?

Typical non-PDI VSR bolt push is insane.. most of the time it's alot harder then the bolt pull (because the laylax piston's seal so well you need to push the bolt past the cushion of air {reminiscent of an AEG compression test})
But PDI has an awesome bearing valve system (VC) built into their guns... My bolt-push is smooth as butter :P |

The PDI trigger description reads, "And if you use with the CA-M24,you may need a little adjustment cause CA's M24 has a large tolerance." What exactly does that mean? Does it mean it's not a drop in fit? If not what needs to be modified? |

For the sake of interest, I don't run a highly upgraded rifle with premium parts, I went on the cheap somewhat. Quote:
And, finding mags for the gun is hard enough, I just keep fixing mine with brass and glue. No way you'll be able to find new mags by the weekend. At least you can single load the gun, cock it and leave the cylinder back, holds the gun upside down with a slight muzzle down angle, and drop a BB in, then push the cylinder forward. And don't tilt it back while doing this, the BB will roll back into where the cylinder is and jam the gun up. Last edited by CDN_Stalker; November 4th, 2009 at 08:26.. |

Does anyone know how well the First Factory APS2 zero trigger compares with the aforementioned PDI trigger system?
I've read that the FF APS2 trigger needs substantial modifications to fit the CA M24, will the PDI version require less work on average? |

Trust me Zero trigger is a bitch to fit in lower stock. You have to modify the trigger guard/dummy mag well and it will snap in two if you over do it.

Okay now I've got a bit of a problem, the hop-up screw seems to be stripped can't adjust the Hop-Up up or down, would it be better off just to get a whole new Hop-Up chamber if possible or try to find a small enough grub screw.

Do whatever you need to get the POS metal screw out of there, use a slotted jewellers screwdriver if you need to (often works) and replace with a #4-40 thread grub screw as you want for length. My PDI hop up unit currently has no adjustment screws (full hop up), but I have a couple stock CA hop up units in my spare parts bin, both use the mentioned screw type in single mode. So a replacement screw is easy enough to find.

You can also take the hop up unit out, remove the O-ring that presses the lever down, and use pliers to grab and twist the other end of the screw to get it out.
