lol I've been called that. Considering the number of JG guns I own and they're among my favourite, I can easily consider myself NOT to be an elitist... I'm all for GOOD clones. TF are NOT good clones...

Except the TF11. That little bastard is the most kickass sidearm I've ever weilded.

I had a similar problem with my MP7. All I did was bend the contacts out a bit and swabbed them out with a dab of rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. Once everything had a chance to sit, I popped the battery in and it worked like a charm. So far, I've put around 8 magazines through it today and it still runs like the proverbial sewing machine. I'd really go along with the consensus that with TF it's either hit or miss. I got lucky.
