Thanks for that post Stalker, I have the same model and everyone keeps saying go molle. Now I have a great counter-argument, I can say the legendary CDN_Stalker uses the same model. =^_^=

MOLLE is a great platform if you change your mind often, want to try different setups on your own or have multiple weapons platforms that you use often. For those who are comfortable with their setups, don't change things often or who simply adapt to anything, rigs with fixed pouches are still fantastic. Typically they cost less and weigh less but they are of the same great quality. Aside from collectors, there's a good reason why some operators and seasoned players will use old LBT/Eagle/HSGI fixed-pouch gear - they're still viable options.

+1 on the MOLLE, but the fixed vests aren't HSLD enough for my personal tastes.

I like to have my mag pouches all set up on my weak/reaction side. I can't do that with 99.99% of the static rigs on the market.

I'm starting to move away from the full plate carriers and onto the lighter suspender and cummerbund setups like the Rhodesian Recce styles. The full carriers are too hot and restrictive to keep everything high speed.

Some of those vests are not bad actually.
The King Arms vest is a of pretty good quality. King Arms over all is a pretty decent company.

Some of the asian clone gear isnt that great but Ehobby has a wide variety of brands that vary from good to crap.

I like it.

Tokyo, the one you linked isn't bad. BUTT, those are U.S prices (I think) and I'd rather spend the extra 20 for something nicer.

Fair enough, its definately true that our dollar is not as great as the US dollar right now, its definately a kick in the wallet when ordering from overseas companies that use the US dollar. In any case getting the most bang for your buck is important. Best of luck and hopefully maybe you can even find something in country, our dollar, possibly cheaper shipping as well.

Give the gear for sale area on this site a browse over and maybe you will see something that grabs your interest.

Yes I know its from buyairsoft, but that's beside the point.

Just looking for something for a beginner, not looking to spend too much. Looks reasonable, but you know better than me
I have that exact same vest. Bought it from ehobbyasia for 50$ including shipping.

I love it. Yes it's low quality (the zipper broke on first use, I have installed push buttons now. Friend of mine bought it too and the zipper is still good) but I love the configuration and the left side can be reconfigured (all velcro). It's a good basic vest I find but don't expect it to last years. The pouches are big enough even fit AK-47 mags or 3 MP5 mags.

I would hate to pay 200$ or so for a vest so 50$ was a great move. All depends on how often you play, how hard you play and how much of a realism fan you are...

Yupp. I hear that. Sitting down kinda sucks when your PC is digging into your waistline.

Well, its just a little bit less than some higher quality vests. 20 dollars difference is going to make a huge difference in this case. I think I'll spend it.

For the price that's not a bad vest at all, you can ask them if the pouches are double stitched, and if there are snap buttons how well they hold, as far as what material they use if they use 500 cordura or higher it's good if they use 420 nylon it sucks and won't last.

Actually for $90 dollars thats a terrible vest. The stitching is medicore at best and the pouches are attached with velcro. An item like that can easily be sourced from an over seas retailer for around $25-$30.

I have a Blackhawk one that is MOLLE so I can rig it for whatever I want.

Fucking CIRAS is just too much!
