its time to do what i did, start a WTF bag, i took a zip lock bag and anything that i have no idea about goes in there. that way you won't loose it and you can take it to some one with experience and maybe they can help

And linking Broxa to an MP5............ I have zero clue about cheapo airsoft guns. Broxa sounds more like some NYC brand laxative to me. Last edited by CDN_Stalker; January 20th, 2009 at 00:04.. |

The saftey block fits on the white tube, then a screw goes in to hold it down.
In all the work I've dozen on all types of airsoft guns, the only time I've ever seen a pin like that is in Armalites. No other purpose for it, and sure as hell doesn't go into any MP5 I know that is out there. Last edited by CDN_Stalker; January 20th, 2009 at 00:49.. |

Keep in mind this is a Broxa, not a TM and even though it is a clone, Aftermath might have decided to stick a mechbox centering pin in there. Check the box to see if there's any holes around that size. It's probably somewhere in the middle of the box.

Still it's a V2 mechbox design, very little difference between the makes, all still same origin. If it was say a Systema PTW MP5................... I wouldn't have even posted in this thread.
Looking at it more in comparison to the mechbox, maybe the size is closer to the 1/2" he said. Now I'm baffled, it isn't any part of a V2 mechbox, but isn't big enough to be an Armalite retaining pin (BTW, in a real Armalite type, is part of the trigger group, there are typically two of them). I have looked over every piece and there doesn't seem to be a logic placement for it except in the safety where the screw goes into. Come to think of it when I was checking the gears I had it laying at an angle it could have fallen out of there. With it in there the screw still goes in with no problem. Could just be something weird Aftermath did.
There is no place to put a centering pin either. Also it is exactly a 1/2 inch in length. Ya Broxa is a pretty crappy name, but it is Aftermath... not naming it an "MP5" probably helps with legal issues. I'll be putting it all together tomorrow night... we'll see what happens. Edit: Thanks for all the input by the way... even if there is no exact answer. Last edited by Xtreme; January 20th, 2009 at 01:16.. |

thats whats best, no one knows where its from, and it dosnt look like it will fit anywhere. just put it back together and see if it works, if it breaks well, it was a broxa and not a PTW not the end of the world

Now that I think of it, TM MP5 shells are held together by short split pins that are about the same size. If there is a split down the side of that piece, then that is what is it, a guide pin that somehow fell out of the outer body. They are the same size as you mentioned, it's a body part, not a mechbox part. Hmmm, bet I just burst the puzzle wide open.

Look carefully around the perimeter of the receiver before you put the halves back together- you'll find a hole that fits it perfectly. That's what it is; it's not from the mechbox. |

Are you sure that isn't the pin from the plastic body that keeps it together? Its usually a curved piece of metal, you should see a opening on the side and its usually hollow.

There is no slit on the side, it is solid. There are three guide pins in the receiver but they are about 4x the diameter, closer to an inch long, silver, and there is no hole small enough in the rest of the receiver. When I first saw it I thought it came from the receiver but I was pretty confident it didn't before posting.
